Landscape Team LeadersList Item 2
- Operates a variety of mechanical equipment including but not limited to back hoes, bobcats, dingoes, tillers, sod cutters, weed eaters, plant augers, chain saws, and drills.
- Interacts with client’s routinely answering questions and assuring client satisfaction.
- Communicates client’s concerns to management.
- Plans and organizes the job, ensuring that sufficient resources and materials are available. Also ensures that job is completed in the most time-efficient manner.
- Manages a team of two or more employees, including handling personnel issues on site and training employees on policies and procedures.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment, including work site and equipment.
- Briefs supervisors and makes recommendations on job status, personnel issues, or client concerns.
Qualifications:
- Experience in the landscaping or horticultural field.
- Has a working knowledge of standard horticultural practices, including but not limited to planting, pruning, corrective pruning, and fertilization.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, math skills, job planning skills, and mechanical aptitude are a must.
- Ability to operate a truck and trailer combination proficiently.
- Valid NYS driver’s license and a good driving record.

Hunter Springs Landscape Artisans is the premier CNY firm in creating high-end outdoor living environments. Our projects often include a combination of:
- Natural stone and paver patios and walkways
- Small masonry or interlocking retaining walls
- Large Boulder rip-rap retaining, sea walls & stairs
- Outdoor kitchens with grills, pizza ovens, etc.
- Fire pits & outdoor fireplaces
- Pavilions and pergolas
- Outdoor lighting
We have been in business over 30 years, and we have seen steady growth, year after year even during the recession. This growth has led us to needing another Hardscape Foreman. This person would be working under our operation manager learning our systems and managing the crew when the operation manager is not on-site.
Experience, Skills and What the Job Requires
To be a great hardscape crew foreman you’ll need good communication skills. You’ll be dealing with homeowners, crew members, operations manager and landscape architects.
There will also be times when you’ll have to make quick and cost-effective decisions in the field while reading and interpreting architectural plans and interpreting elevations.
Your team will depend on you to make sure you organize their materials and even release them from suppliers. You’ll get to train new team members that you’ve learned from your many years of experience, teaching them best practices. Your responsible will to work hand in hand with your team to create unique and beautiful hardscapes (as listed above) with exception detail.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of operating a mini excavators, skid loader, cut-off saw, along with proven experience of powered hand tools
- Clean driving record of at least 3 years (CDL is a plus, but not required)
- Masonry experience, construction experience, ICPI and / or NCMA certifications a plus but not required

Landscape/Hardscape ProfessionalsList Item 1
You will work as part of a team to produce high quality projects for our clients. You will perform a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: sod laying, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, brick, block & stone installation, installation of mortar less segmental concrete masonry wall units and the use of hand or power tools along with equipment, if needed. You need to be proactive, detail conscious and willing to work hard for a great day’s pay. A clean driver’s license is required and the more positive history & skills you have, the more initial earning potential is available. If you have qualifications and/or previous work experience related to our industry you will be given special consideration for an interview.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform highly physical work on a consistent basis.
- Constructs objects, structures, and buildings with exceptional quality using various materials, methods, and the appropriate tools.
- Communicate and coordinate with clients and team members in a professional manner.
- Proper use and maintenance of all tools, equipment and machinery.
- Follow Hunter Springs standard operating procedures and safety policies.
- Always maintain a clean and safe job site.
Compensation:
Minimum $700 per week plus full benefits based on qualifications.
